Muvi Veho VCC003MUVI Micro DV Camcorder July 31, 2010 David n NM I didn't know such a GREAT picture and audio could come from such a small camcorder. The camcorder arrived quickly and was exactly as promised.
Very good quality in design and function July 29, 2010 KMOD This is a solidly built micro spy cam.
There is nothing cheap about the look or feel of this tiny camera.
About the thickness and length of two USB flash drives stacked together.
It is incredibly small and created shockingly good image quality.
performs well in boh daylight and artificial light.
It's operation is simple and basic.
you can plug it into the USB on your computer to charge the battery, view, delete files or format the card. or use it as a Web cam.
The problem with the sound is that it picks up everything. especially wind.
Manuel or voice activated this is a great piece of technology to have. in your pocket.
It comes with a 2G micro card, I upgraded to a 4g which will last about as long as charge on the built in battery.
"Extremist" Beware...DO NOT BUY July 23, 2010 MountainBikeMan 1 out of 11 found this review helpful
For my 40th birthday, I decided to buy a mini camcorder to record all the great trails and roads that I get to cycle. I thought it would be a great way to show some of the "newbies" what they can expect when we venture out to new terrain. I had been recommenced another brand, but for the price and the high ratings I had read about the veho muvi, I decided to pinch pennies; the VM also offered an "extreme" sports package that included a helmet mount. Let me begin by saying that the individual who sits at a desk and came up w/ the title for this "sports package" is a complete moran and has probably never done ANYTHING "extreme" in his life.
After figuring out how to mount this camera (it does not include instructions, no kidding) onto my helmet, I noticed that the clamp that actually holds the camera, although secure for a perhaps a nice hike, is questionably stable. Seven miles into the trail, I noticed that my helmet "grazed" a branch. I immediately stopped to check everything.......camera was gone, no kidding. I looked for 30 minutes. So, in essence, I never got to really use it.
I called Amazon to explain what had happened and asked if they would give me some kind of credit......"NOPE". I then tried to call Veho but couldn't find they number, and resorted to an email explaining my situation; ten days later I have yet to hear from them.
I'm gonna buy a GO PRO like I was originally recommended. The mounting kit is obviously better and is actually include w/ the camera.
Great for your money July 19, 2010 Carlos I installed it in my motorcycle handlebar through a clamp adaptor. Videos are quite stable, clear, they make the cut once published in youtube.
You can get reasonable stable and quality videos while driving. Do not expect same video quality you would get from a 300 US$ webcam. There are other nice application for this mini webcam.. in the office, in the car, you may record even hanging out of your jacket pocket.. It's useful.
Only complain: no way to preview what you are recording, no LCD screen, you need to make a PC USB download. I would happily pay 100 bucks as soon as a new model with integrated LCD screen (even a 1.5 inch screen) will be available.
