We originally purchased this little video recorder for the purpose of documenting some unsavory neighborhood activity and were very impressed with both the image and audio quality. The image quality is amazing and the sound is surprisingly good for such a small camera. It performed well beyond our expectations. It's not going to give you Stephen Spielberg quality images or sound but it's perfect for home use and you can't beat the price. Now that the neighborhood issues have been resolved (thanks little camera!) we're using it for baby showers, family picnics and other fun stuff. We have family scattered far and wide and it's great to be able to send them a little movie of family gatherings they've missed.

This thing is no better than a 5 year old picture phone with a camcorder feature. I cannot believe how terrible this product is. There should be a law about items this horrible.
If you want to spend your hard-earned money on an absolute piece of garbage, then by all means, spend away. To make it quicker though, I'd just take the money you were going to spend and throw it down the garbage disposal. Its pretty much what I realized I had done once I got it up and working. I'm ashamed Amazon allows this product to be sold on such a great website with a flawless reputation of selling quality products.

I recently purchased a md80 mini dv camera and I can only record about 17 minutes of video on a full charge. I am going to try and get a replacement from the company I purchased it from. Will advise!

I've been playing around with communication's + electronic's gear for the last 40 yr's. over these yr's if I wanted Gov't quality hardware,I've learned....(IT'S NEVER CHEAP.) This micro DVR has broken A L L the rule's! This little gem is one amazing peice of technology. Just the thought of incorporating all the SMART and USEFULL feature's to it's mind boggling capability's (that work better than I ever expected) I have a 5.0 megapixel digital camera (full sized) and I swear to you this micro DVR BLOWS IT AWAY, in it's imaging quality to the UNBELIEVABLE audio/VOX performance.The night vision quality is as good with headlight's on as any law enforcement clip's I've seen on TV show's like COP'S. With thing's being as fragile as ever in the outside world's temperment, I will NEVER leave home without my Mini DVR, PROOF IN TODAY'S WORLD COULD LITERALLY SAVE YOU + YOUR FAMILY'S LIFE !!!! Life is no longer the way I was taught and experienced in the 1960's - 1970's, people young and old are angry and tired of watching the greatest generation, my parent's (I was born in 59) having to struggle in so many way's because of all the good story telling politician's made us beleive better day's were coming, but behind closed door's were very busy perpitrating the most henous crimes ever comitted against the poor and middle class citizen's of this country....PISSING OUR MONEY AWAY LIKE DRUNKEN TEENAGER'S....plus of course creating fairytale lies FOR THIS WAR TO THAT WAR KEEP'S KILLING OUR CHILDREN!!!! I realize that this review wandered a bit but this DVR in my hand's will never shy away from doccumenting the action's of what our law enforcement officer's have morphed into...."The mainstreet Marine Corp's" (crowd control soldier's) In closing I am so impressed with every feature and the thought that went into it's development, I will happily reccomend this Micro DVR to anyone needing a very capable and outstanding video/audio recording portable DVR and worth more than it's listed price. The camera has a very simple setup, so it isn't a matter of learning what to do. It's just that the on-off button sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. It has been very frustrating. We bought it to take on a trip but often cannot even get a short video at home. I'd like to know how to get a refund or at least a replacement.
